Kim & I visited Gary Tincknell, my oncologist, this morning for the quarterly ckeckin. I had my bloods taken last Friday. The 90 minute journey in torrential rain and high winds, followed by a 60 min delay, as Gary was runnng very late with his appointments, was all so worthwhile. Gary revealed that my PSA remains at less than 0.01, which means the prostate cancer is undetechtable. That being the case means the bone cancer is dormant too.
Despite having to undertake the return journey in even worse conditions, we got home feeling so pleased with this latest news. I am feeling good, despite the “hot flushes”, which I can cope with well, especially since I started taking Evenig Primrose oil, which my cancer nurse recommended.
All is well here, despite the promise of up to 150mm of rain in 48 hours. The extension to our lounge has been going well, as the weather to this point has been so good to us. The bricklayers are having a couple of well earned “enforced” days rest, but we hope they will be back towards the end of the week, when they hope to be close to finishing. Fingers crossed!
